A gym refurbishment during November 2014 has enabled the Y Club to increase our gym floor space. We are able to offer our members a fantastic array of facilities featuring Precor, Life Fitness and Matrix equipment including a fully equipped cardio room, fixed strength machines, free weights, plate loaded equipment and functional training area.
The Y Club also features a vibro plate, 18m swimming pool, mixed and ladies only sauna, steam room, fives courts and indoor running track. Add that to our sports hall and class studio offering over 70 classes and sports clubs a week including Yoga, Insanity, Metafit, Circuit Training, Martial Arts, Badminton, Basketball and more the Y Club is hard to beat.

Cardio and Resistance Area:
The cardiovascular area features a wide range of equipment including bikes, rowers, treadmills, cross trainers, steppers and elliptical trainers. Alongside the cardiovascular machines we have an extensive range of fixed weight resistance equipment.

Free Weights:
For a more intense work-out why not try our separate free weights room which has a full range of benches, barbells and dumbbells. Weights start from 1kg up to 50kg dumbbells. We also have weight discs, which range from 2.5kg – 25kg with four Olympic bars. The Y club now offers plate loaded Precor equipment in our free weights area.

Functional Training Area:
The Y Club now offers TRX suspension training on the gym floor along with core bags, bosu balls and a range of kettle bells from 4kg – 28kg.

Vibro Plate:
Vibration plate training has become more and more popular over recent years with many celebrities and sports professionals turning to this to enhance their workouts. When used as part of a healthy lifestyle and exercise routine the vibration plate can help to improve fitness, muscle tone and strength as well as improved balance and flexibility. It also helps weight loss and in the reduction of cellulite. It can also be used in the process of rehabilitation from injury.

Stretch and Abs Area:
This area is used for abdominal work and to improve your core and flexibility. It also means there is a designated area available for your pre and post workout stretches.
