At the Y Club we offer a variety of cardio fitness classes which are high energy and high impact. We also offer various high intensity interval training classes (HIIT). All our cardio fitness classes will raise your heart rate, burn calories, improve cardiovascular fitness, and reduce your body fat.Some of the cardio fitness and fat burning classes available at the Y Club are:
Spin: Spin classes are a great way to improve your cardio endurance whilst burning calories and toning your legs. Our spin classes are suitable for everyone from beginners to those with advanced fitness levels.
MetaFit: The Metafit bodyweight training system aims to boost the metabolism and burn fat. You will also benefit from increased muscle tone, as well as increased stamina. Increased muscle mass speeds up the Metabolism which means you can continue to burn calories for up to 24 hours after you leave the class. Although results vary you can burn up to 900kals in one session and over the next 24 hours! All these benefits for a short, 30 Minute workout!
Zumba: Zumba combines Latin and International music with a fun and effective workout system. Zumba is a dance workout class that helps you burn calories whilst having fun! It involves a mixture of high and low intensity moves. It is a cardio workout which also offers muscle conditioning whilst helping with your balance and flexibility.
Box Fit: We offer 2 boxing fitness classes, Boxfit and Hatton Boxing. Hatton boxing for fitness class is designed to assist weight loss, muscle tone, increased fitness and all the fun of training like a boxer without the contact. Box fit teaches you how to punch and defend in one hour! Shape and tone your upper body. This class is an intense cardio work out incorporating pad work, skipping and core strengthening exercises.
HIIT: High Intensity Interval training (HIIT) workouts can burn up to 750 calories in 45 minutes, featuring short bursts of maximum intensity followed by periods of rest. HIIT classes are a fantastic way to burn fat and improve your cardio fitness and muscle endurance.
Circuit Training: Our circuit training and bootcamp classes provide a great workout as you move through a series of stations designed to increase your heart rate and challenge your muscles. Stations may include body weight exercises, weights, rope and tyres depending on the class you choose. Exercises may be modified to accommodate for all fitness levels.
Hit the Core: This 30 minutes class uses sand bags for over-all workout hitting your core with every single exercise. This class is high intensity class combining strength and cardio. Suitable for intermediate to advance fitness level!
Kettlebells: The M3 Fitness Kettlebell class is a great way to get an effective whole body functional workout in a relatively short period of time. Feel the amazing effect from a combination of both cardio and strength training and benefit from serious cardio workout without the boredom of cardio machines. Develop core strength, increase mental focus and strengthen every muscle from head-to-toe to develop a leaner more toned figure.
